The 7 Best Growth Marketing Blogs for Founders to Follow
As a startup founder, you may be experiencing a bit of information overwhelm, particularly as it comes to marketing. On the whole, today’s digital marketers love to talk and share their insights about the industry and best practices.
Follow these 7 growth marketing blogs to ensure you have the marketing insights you need to build your company!
I’m a voracious reader, particularly about marketing strategy, and these are some of my favorite blogs to read.
You’ll notice that a lot of these blogs are run by companies, and there’s a good reason for that! These folks are doing great work and have a really good sense for marketing evolution and strategy. As an aside, I’ve used most (if not all) of the products they offer, but I’m not endorsing their products - just their blogs.
1. Drift
Drift’s blog is accessible, helpful, and practical. (Drift is a chatbot plugin that helps companies and individuals leverage conversation marketing.) They’re also super-focused on growth, but always in a human way.
They also publish a growth-focused newsletter that is really high-quality. Definitely subscribe to that one, if growth marketing is a priority for you.

2. Buffer
I do use Buffer’s social media scheduling tool, and mostly became a customer because I was so impressed with their famously good corporate culture. Their blog delivers transparent yet technical guidance on social media and growth.
I would definitely recommend the Buffer blog to anyone interested in growing their social media presence; however, I’d also recommend it to anyone interested in company culture and growth marketing.

3. HelpScout
HelpScout is technically a customer support tool, but I think their blog is one of the best and most helpful in the industry. It’s true that Drift’s blog keeps things human, but HelpSout sets the bar in this category. You can really tell they’re customer- and lead-focused, and they write with empathy and understanding. I also really love that they surprise me with the topics they cover.

4. Hubspot
I started using HubSpot back in 2013 at my first full-time job, and can honestly say that HubSpot taught me the ropes of marketing with their incredible blog and resources. While the company has been facing some challenges lately, their blog remains consistently great. I love that their blog can be a one-stop shop for marketing, sales, and customer success resources if you want it to be.
If you’re looking for how to actually implement a new marketing strategy, HubSpot is usually a good place to start looking for guidance and best practices.

5. Seth Godi
Seth Godin is one of the world’s best marketers for a reason. He’s an original thinker and bestselling author whose approach to marketing has revolutionized the industry more than once.
His blog is a fascinating peek into his mind. Each post is usually just a few sentences, and usually will land in your inbox first thing in the morning.
The Sept. 1 blog was a perfect example of Seth’s powerful insight, and how it can reframe how you look at something you’ve seen for years. Plus, it’s got a genius title: This One Simple Trick Makes Everything Faster and Easier
6. Andrew Chen
Andrew Chen has been a growth marketer for years - most notably as the head of Rider Acquisition at Uber - always with lots of success. I really like that his posts are consistently technically advanced and use a lot of numbers.
However, the best way to get Chen’s insights is by subscribing to his newsletter.

7. QuickSprout
Founded by Neil Patel, one of the most famous marketers today, QuickSprout is basically a resource hub for companies that want to grow. It’s a great resource with lots of good tips and tricks. I will say that I’ve experienced the quality to be a bit inconsistent, but there is a ton of content and there is always something valuable to be learned. Despite any inconsistencies, I don’t hesitate at all to recommend this blog.
If you’re a beginner, this one is especially valuable because it tends to focus on the nuts-and-bolts of starting a blog, creating a website, or launching an online store.
Here’s a post that illustrates QuickSprout’s approach: How to Start a Blog in 12 Easy Steps
